The restaurant quickly became one of the area's most celebrated culinary destinations, leading Napa's ascendance as one of the country's great culinary meccas. However, over the years with the rise of the other competitive restaurants, it was time for the restaurant to be refreshed and re-introduced to the public as the ultimate food and wine experience in the Napa Valley, beginning with giving the restaurant a name - étoile.
- Windows on the World – After a $20 million dollar renovation, the legendary Windows restaurant complex was re-launched to critical acclaim through strategic public relations and marketing efforts.
- Kimpton Hotels – As the originator of the "boutique" hotel concept, Kimpton Hotels launched the "Kimpton" brand to build loyalty among existing fans and to introduce new guests and the press to the "Kimpton" hotel experience.
- LGBT - Over the last decade, many segments of the travel industry have integrated the LGBT market, notably airlines, car rental companies, tour operators and visitor's bureaus.
